Software engineering research at the Department of Computer Science of NTNU covers many subfields, e.g., requirement engineering, agile methods, software design and development, programming language, software games, software and art, software security, software reliability and safety, software engineering education, and software and society. Many of our research projects are conducted using empirical methods, e.g., surveys, case studies, and experiments. Most of our research projects collaborate closely with both the public sector and industry. We expect the candidate can initialize and lead software engineering research. We also expect that the candidate will take a leading role in research-based education, which includes teaching and course development for Bachelors, Masters and Ph.D. students within software engineering, software security, and software quality at IDI.
